Rome has two international airports:-
Fiumincino is the main international airport with connections to Australia, New Zealand and Britain by all the main airlines and some of the low cost ones such as BMI.
There is a half hourly direct train service from the airport to "Roma Termini" - this is the main central station in Rome. The airport to Roma Termini train takes 35 minutes.
There is a more frequent stopping service from the airport to "Roma Tiburtina" - this is the large station to the north of Rome on the mainline to Florence. The train takes about 40 minute with a number of stops between the airport and Roma Tiburtina.
Ciampino is the other airport used by the budget airplines such as Ryanair and Easyjet. Connections are not as good. There is a direct bus from Ciampino airport to Roma Termini station. Alternatively one can take a taxi to Ciampino station and a train to Roma Termini.
